Moomin Mug Winternight Glow is a limited-edition collectible mug created through a collaboration between Moomin Arabia and the Tampere Moomin Museum. Inspired by Tove Jansson's 1957 novel Moominland Midwinter, the design features an illustration based on Jansson's original 1972 gouache painting, adapted by Moomin Arabia illustrator Parvati Pillai.

The mug depicts Moomintroll awakening from winter hibernation and encountering the Groke on a snowy night—a scene that captures the novel's themes of compassion, understanding, and connection. Unlike typical Moomin mugs with line drawings, this piece showcases a richly coloured, painterly composition that brings atmospheric depth to the story's winter landscape. The artwork includes characters from the novel, including Too-ticky and creatures building a bonfire, symbolizing courage and the realization that even the lonely Groke deserves warmth and companionship.

Initially exclusive to the Moomin Museum, this special edition became available through select retailers beginning October 26, 2026. With only a limited production run, it represents a distinctive addition to any Moomin collection—a piece that honours both the literary heritage and artistic vision of one of Scandinavia's most beloved stories.
