Mrs Fillyjonk loves things to be clean and orderly. She cleans her house neurotically and is at her best when organizing a major clean-up. Mrs Fillyjonk finds the nooks where dust likes to hide and lets soap do the rest. A psychiatrist arriving in Moominvalley manages to cure Mrs Fillyjonk’s cleaning complex. When Fillyjonk’s house begins to fall into disrepair, Moominmamma decides to cure Mrs Fillyjonk with her own ingenious methods. She writes a telegram, delivered to Mrs Fillyjonk by her excited children. The telegram explains that a committee of women will visit Fillyjonk’s house. This way, Moominmamma succeeds in restoring Mrs Fillyjonk’s love of cleaning.

Tove Slotte

Arabia’s Moomins are turned from stories to ceramic illustrations by designer Tove Slotte. She has been drawing Moomins onto Arabia items since the beginning of the 1990s. The designer draws inspiration from Tove Jansson’s original illustrations, which she adapts to ceramic shapes. The Moomins have always been close to Tove Slotte’s heart. She articulated the significance of the Moomins nicely when she said: I think everyone should enjoy a little dose of Moomin philosophy every day.
