They were the first in their genre to be nominated for a Grammy, have their video aired on MTV, and for many, the first hip-hop group they ever heard or saw. Their legacy is unparalleled and influence still seen and heard today. Darryl McDaniels , stage name DMC, was one of two leading vocalists for the trio.
