Since premiering at the 1937 Paris World Fair, architect Alvar Aalto’s fluid waves (“aalto” in Finnish) shape has become a timeless symbol of Scandinavian glass design. Each vase in the collection is mouthblown and handcrafted at the Iittala Glass Factory in Finland. Following an original Alvar Aalto design from the 1930s, our new 180mm vase is perfect for individual flowers or branches. The smoky grey is an original Aalto colour.
