Architect Alvar Aalto’s asymmetrical, soft waves (“aalto” in Finnish) have become a staple of Scandinavian design combining function and sculpture. Each vase in the Aalto Collection is first mouthblown, then hand cut before going through several polishings by our master craftspersons at the Iittala Glass Factory in Finland. The new 180mm vase is an Aalto original from the 1930s in a smaller size. The elegant vase in warm Rio brown is perfect for individual flowers or stems.
