KAKSIN linen towel
Beautiful linen towel, designed by Armi Teva!
Designer: Armi Teva
Material: 100% washed linen, Masters of Linen
Made in: Finland
Armi’s collaboration with Lapuan Kankurit includes two designs, KAKSIN and RANNALLA.
“KAKSIN, in particular, is a true representation of how most of my work comes to life. I started by drawing different kinds of flowers and plant illustrations, and the shapes came about almost by accident – what if I drew this big flower with a swan’s neck as a stem? And then I tried some more things, and more ideas came forth. The design was quite literally born in front of my eyes. RANNALLA is a companion piece to the former, where elements were taken from KAKSIN to showcase the environment around the swans.”
Linen is a natural material. It’s very absorbent and dries very fast. For these reasons linen is an excellent material for towels. This kitchen towel is also suitable as a hand towel.
We have used Masters of Linen–certified 100 % linen yarn for both the warp and weft, spun from fully traceable long staple flax. We love flax as a material, for it is a durable, comfortable and environmentally friendly fibre.
Our flax grows with the power of rainwater in the temperate climate of central Europe, needing no irrigation. The yarns have been spun and dyed in the EU area according to the REACH regulations.
Did you know that linen is an ecological choice also because the dirt comes off it even when washed at 40 degrees Celsius?
Care instructions
Wash separately at 60°C in plenty of water. 40°C is also an adequate wash temperature. We recommend a small amount of neutral washing powder. Avoid softener and bleach. Do not tumble dry. Reshape while damp. Normal spin cycle. Linen fibres may come off the product during the wash. Check the lint filter before and after washing. Iron the textil with linen settings. The colour of natural linen becomes lighter with washing.
