This lovely, warm, and soft blanket is designed by Hanna Galtat. The collaboration with Lapuan Kankurit began with Aalto University’s PatternLab project. The KAAMOS pattern depicts the journey of daylight throughout the day.

The KAAMOS blanket contains local Finnish sheep wool, which we collect ourselves from nearby farms within approximately 400 km of Lapua. For this production, we have established a continuous finishing facility for wool products in Lapua. Together with ProAgria, we developed criteria for welfare of sheep, promoting responsible wool production and animal welfare, particularly in Finland.

The wool blanket keeps you warm during winter frosts and feels pleasantly cool in the summer heat. Genuine wool retains its lofty texture and does not collect dust, as its moisture-regulating properties discourage dust mites. As an anti-static material, wool also resists attracting dust and lint. It repels dirt and stays clean for a long time. Wool textiles rarely need washing; airing is often sufficient. Although exceptionally durable, wool is also 100% biodegradable.

This generously sized (150 × 200 cm) blanket can also be used as a duvet. The breathable duvet ensures a good night’s sleep. The blanket features overlock stitching on the short edges.
