Purnukka is a useful storage jar designed by Kaj Franck. The ceramic IS-model Purnukka was produced between 1953 and 1975 and it was also often connected to the Kilta series. When Purnukka was reintroduced into production in 2011 to commemorate Kaj Franck's anniversary, the jar still retained its original shape, but the features of the lid had been changed so that the lid stayd in place better. The beautiful Teema and Kilta colour combination of the stackable Purnukka jars makes them simple to match with other Iittala tableware. Purnukka works well for storage in the kitchen and other parts of the house.
