Hammershøi Summer is inspired by the fairytale shapes, colours and emotions of the Danish summer, and for the 2026 season, a bouquet of the most beautiful coastal flowers has found its way into the popular series. The Hammershøi Summer bowl with coastal flower themes is 12 cm in diameter and is perfect for sun-ripened berries, cookies or other treats for yourself or your summer guests – whether you're setting the table for a large coffee table or just want to create lots of genuine summer atmosphere on the table and around the home. With coastal flowers, seashells and small beach animals in muted and soft tones, the new motif creates the feeling of a walk along the Danish beaches – reminding us to stop, breathe deeply and be present in the moment. The coastal flower theme is painted in the same way as the other themes in the Hammershøi Summer series, where plants and flowers move almost spontaneously over the classic grooves on the white ceramic parts. It is as if they are almost growing up, yes, almost dancing over the porcelain with their various asymmetrical directions. The motifs are created by the artist Rikke Jacobsen on the existing parts of the Hammershøi tableware, designed by Hans-Christian Bauer. With her beautiful watercolours, she creates detailed motifs where flora and fauna play a central role and capture the feeling of nature and the seasons around us.
