Northern nature and our environment are precious for Lapuan Kankurit and therefore we are participating in fundraising for the Finnish association for nature conservation, Suomen luonnonsuojeluliitto to protect The Saimaa Ringed Seal, an endangered seal living in Lake Saimaa, Finland.

Saimaannorppa, the Finnish version of "leopard pattern",  is designed by Kaarina Tiainen and the series include sauna textiles, such as seat covers, sauna pillows and washed linen towels as well as wool blankets and hot water bottles. Psst! The print in each hot water bottle is slightly different, just like each Saimaa Ringed Seal.

The products include Save the Saimaa Ringed Seal woven logo and Lapuan Kankurit donates a fixed sum to Suomen luonnonsuojeluliitto for each delivered product. Donation for each blanket sold is 5€.
