Metso sculpture is Kaija Aarikka's interpretation of the western capercaillie, the largest existing grouse species. Originally released in 1966, Metso has been reintroduced with an updated design and materials. Proudly standing on a brass leg, the wooden bird is made from light-colored maple and birch. The fan-like tail is composed of Aarikka's signature wooden balls.
