Are you familiar with our popular Terva towel? The material innovated by Lapuan Kankurit is extremely absorbent, very lightweight and quick to dry. It is the perfect companion for a day at the beach and other trips.The interesting material for the Terva towel is a washed linen-Tencel-cotton blend. Tencel is made from wood pulp and its production is Eco-Friendly. Lapuan Kankurit has developed a soft and highly absorbent technical textile that makes a day at the beach even more pleasurable then previously. The towel is absorbent and dries quickly, making it ultra hygienic to use. It\'s also light and takes only little space which makes it perfect when travelling.This product is made out of linen, Tencel and cotton. Flax is grown in Normandy, Europa and it is traceable 100% european Masters of Linen long staple linen yarn. Tencel is made from pulp and it is cellulose, lyocell fibre by Austrian company, Lenzing. Our strategy is to be responsible for the whole production from yarn to readymade products. Main part of our whole production is made in our own weaving mill in Lapua.
Product development, material purchases, programming of looms and design as well as warping, weaving, finishing and fabric inspection is done in Lapua in our own weaving mill. Sewing is mainly done in our own subsidiary sewing company in Lithuania or our own weaving mill in Lapua. Accessories come from Europe, mainly from Finland. Country of origin is Finland.
