Holmegaard Christmas bottle 2019, designed by Jette Frölich.

Artist: Jette Frölich

Size: Height:20 cmWidth:10 cmDepth:8 cm

The motif of the 2019 Christmas bottle takes us north to the cozy snow-covered log cabin in the deep, quiet tranquility of the forest. On one side of the Christmas bottle a boy is seen on his way home to the cabin after skiing in the snow. The cabin is beautifully situated in the valley surrounded by green fir trees and the boy quickly descends from the soft hills towards the cabin. On the other side of the Christmas bottle, the cabin's entrance area is seen and it hardly gets more inviting. The veranda is decorated with branches with red apples, which the forest's little birds flock to, while large snowflakes descend quietly and lie like a soft blanket at the foot of the stairs. The Christmas tree has been carefully selected in the forest and is ready on the porch to enter, where the whole family can decorate it together. Around the front porch, the family's skis are ready to clamp on their feet, as well as a sleigh ready for the children's play or a trek for the smallest of the family. A beautiful sign welcomes everyone. The landscape, atmosphere and season invite to hot drinks and on one of the narrow sides of the Christmas bottle is seen a little boy enjoying a nice hot cup of cocoa, while sitting on a fence next to the cottage watching the many birds who enjoy the Christmas sheaf, the family has set up for them. This side of the Christmas bottle also shows the 24 date tags, which indicate a little glass of bitter every day towards Christmas Eve. On the other narrow side of the Christmas bottle you will see the big brother, who has just returned from skiing, has taken off his skis and is now ready to go in for Christmas.
