Cathrineholm enamel bowl 14cm stripes orange
Stripes collection Take a trip down memory lane with the brightly-coloured Stripes Collection enamel bowls from the Cathrineholm enamel works. The Stripes Collection was designed by the Norwegian enamel artist Grete Prytz Kittelsen, who collaborated with Cathrineholm throughout the 1950s and 60s – a collaboration which received great international recognition. The design is relatively simple but easily recognisable with its bright colours, which are fully in keeping with the Scandinavian design style. The enamel bowls can be used as part of your interior décor to complement the classic Scandinavian design, as fruit or salad bowls and much more besides.
The much-loved enamel designs of the 60s are today considered design icons and are coveted collectibles, particularly the brightly-coloured enamelled bowls, which were hugely popular in Scandinavia and the US in the 1960s. Some of the most popular designs are the result of a collaboration between the Norwegian ironworks Cathrineholm and the Norwegian enamel artist Grete Prytz Kittelsen.
